Hey Y'all!

I got so much great feedback from y'all regarding this new monthly living series and setting specific intentional 30 day goals for ourselves. I think the small routines we commit to doing can help us prepare for the much larger things we have in store for us.

Thanks to each and everyone of you who are following along! Please let me know your thoughts and if you are gonna be coming along side of me for the month of February. I love hearing from you and I promise to answer you back if you message me on Instagram!

MY THOUGHTS FROM JANUARY LIVING

I found myself referring back to and considering this list A LOT in January! Whenever I would try to talk myself out of waking up early to have alone time in the Word I would remember my word of the month CONSISTENCY and oddly enough making that commitment to myself helped hold me accountable. I say oddly enough because I've made little promises to myself in the past and have failed miserably. The same was with the Bible verse and worship song. Whenever I would get stressed or agitated I would remind myself of meditating on the Bible verse or playing the worship song on my phone. Having something I could go back to really helped me find a center in the midst of difficult days. This has made me so excited to start the month of February!! Oh and February is my birthday month which makes me excited too!

WORD - MANIFEST

I'm actually doubling up with my word for last month which was consistency. I love that word and feel like it needs to be held onto a few more months! Manifest means "to display or show by one's actions" or "to appear." In the spiritual sense if something is manifested, it is has become real and often times this is done through us first having the belief. I believe our minds have the ability to control our actions. My goal this month with the word manifest is to actively believe while working towards goals in an effort to manifest them in my life.

BIBLE VERSE - HEBREWS 11:6

"And without faith it is impossible to please God because anyone that comes to him must first believe that he exists and is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."

I struggle with believing God loves me enough to answer my prayers. He has blessed us far beyond I could ever deserve and its easy for me to think I've out used His blessings and they now belong to someone else. When I recite this it reminds me to please Him I have to have faith in all areas of my life and that includes knowing he loves me. I also feels that this verse goes along with my word for the month! Manifesting His love in my life starts with me believing it fully!

WORSHIP SONG - PROPHESY YOUR PROMISE by Bryan and Kate Torwalt

Kinda going along with the word manifest for the month! This song y'all.... the words are so powerful. I will turn this on and just let it play while I mediate on the Lord and His promises.

COLOR - LIGHT PINK

Trying to go festive here, but not really feeling red yet! Let's try light pink on for size and see how it feels! Here are a few low cost options (all linked and from Amazon) to add a little light pink to your February.

HABIT - MAKE BED DAILY

This is on my kids chore list and yet I still fail at it daily! I actually started doing this a while back and loved the way it felt having something crossed off the list every single morning. I also loved the way it felt getting into a made bed every night.

TRY SOMETHING NEW FOR THE MONTH

This makes me think of the episode of FRIENDS where Ross decides to do one new thing every day! Do y'all remember that one??

Okay, so this is something I've wanted to do for a long time and I'm super excited about it! Best part is, it won't cost you a single thing!! Years ago I read that Kate Hudson puts her face in an ice bath each morning. So I looked it up and apparently facial ice therapy has been around for a while and is really beneficially for reducing redness and puffiness and constricting the skin's circulation. It also creates a tightening and toning effect for the skin.

Here's how you do it... although I do think it is pretty self explanatory! Get a bowl full of ice and a little water and then put your face in it for as long as you can handle it. Once you pull your face out, dab it off a bit on a towel, and then go back in if you can!!

The first time I did this I tried to do two 30 second passes. The first time I put my face in, it literally took my breath away! I was trying to hold my breath, but my body was in full reaction mode and was trying to make me gasp for breaths! It took me about 10 seconds to gain control over my mind and just hold my breath. The first 30 seconds I stayed in for the entire time and it was okay. The second time though... holy cow it was like little needles all over my face and I got a mega brain freeze about 15 second in, so I decided to just go ahead and cut that session short. I dried my face and looked in the mirror and it was bright red! I put on a little hydration serum and moisturizer and my skin felt really good. Definitely had a tight feeling.

I'm hoping it gets easier as the month goes on and I can do my best to stay in for a longer period of time.

Please join me!!
