15 Telegram Groups for Lifestyle Instagrammers

In the Instagram game engagement is a pretty big deal. If content is king, engagement is most definitely queen. You will here from so many instagrammers and bloggers that if you want to grow you have to engage with your community. While that in itself seems pretty straight forward and basic, it definitely takes a whole lot of time and Telegram groups are a really great way to help pad the surface a bit.

Telegram is a free mobile group messaging app. Once a group is created and assigned a name, invitations are then sent out by a link for others to join. Joining is free and simple as well. Your account will be created using your mobile number and you will create your account using your Instagram handle. Instagrammers use Telegram because unlike group messages on the Instagram app, there is an unlimited amount of members allowed in one single group. Most Instagram like groups created on Telegram are created for engagement purposes. You are allowed to share your most recent Instagram post in these groups in exchange for liking all the other photos shared in the group within a specific time frame. Each group will have their own rules set forth by the admins and (usually) pinned at the top of each page. Groups range in size from over a few hundred members to a couple thousand members, so depending on the one or ones you choose to join, and how many members are actually participating, you have the opportunity to receive a good amount of likes strictly from these groups.

Obviously there are pros and cons to everything. The pros to using Telegram groups is they offer easy likes with very little work especially when you use the Like It All plug in available on Chrome. Currently this plug in is not available for mobile use, but when used on your desktop it automatically likes all of the posts shared within a group for you within a matter of. minutes. It's pretty sweet, especially if you are have ever gone through manually and liked all of the posts! The cons are the majority of these likes do not come from your own community. These likes are others (just like yourself) looking for more engagement. Looking at it this way, it could be tough to gauge your "real" engagement rate. For some people this matters, for others its all about the numbers. I'm not here to judge.

My personal take on Telegram groups?? I think there is definitely a rhythm to making them most effective. I personally really only like sharing to Telegram groups directly after I post to Instagram. One of the way Instagram ranks posts based on how popular the post in within the first 2 hours. If you share to your Telegram groups directly after you post to Instagram, there is a higher chance of receiving likes quickly which works well with the Instagram algorithm. If you are posting to Instagram in the am and then sharing that post to your Telegram groups in the pm, yeah you'll increase your likes, but it really affect your ranking for top posts or hashtags.

I still think Intentional engagement is extremely important for growing your following on Instagram. Telegram groups do very little for growing your following. I work in 15 minute increments, 3-4 times a day when it comes engaging with my community.

All of these groups are all in the lifestyle blogger niche which pretty much covers beauty and style, motherhood, and travel. Each group will have their own rules including following the admins, how many posts you are allowed to share per day, and how many hours of "catch up" you have to do prior to sharing your own photo. In my experience, many of the groups aren't very forgiving when it comes to breaking the rules even if it is a mistake.
