Let's be honest, there are a lot of eating plans out there now that eliminate sugar. At first glance you think "Yeah, I can eliminate sugar," but then you realize that means the majority of condiments as well. That isn't always easy especially when you desperately want some BBQ chicken or ketchup on your bunless burger! I get it! I'm the condiment queen! I'm the girl who would get 2 of every sauce at Chick-fil-a and have them all open for my dipping pleasure.
I have proven to myself that I can limit my carbs and say goodbye to sugar, but I still want some sort of condiment for dipping. You give me a piece of meat and I'm immediately looking for the sauce on the side! Is that the Southern in me coming out or is that normal for all areas of the country??
If you have been seeking Keto friendly, sugar free dips and sauces look no further. I have you covered on everything store bought and a few homemade dressings and sauces you will want to spend time making. In fact, my kids actually prefer using the sugar free ketchup and BBQ sauce to the other brands! If kids want it, you know its good! Think of the endless possibilities of meals to make now!!
The sauces listed below can occasionally be found at your local grocery stores. I have them at Kroger and Publix in the Nashville area and in my experience Publix is also great about carrying items if you request it through the customer service counter. I usually pay around $4 for a 12 oz jar for each of the sauces listed below. You can check your grocery store first or or purchase directly from Amazon. The links I have provided are to Amazon and most are orders of multiple 18oz jars. I can promise you though it is worth buying in bulk!
G Hughes can do no wrong! In my opinion this ketchup is a little sweeter than I like, my husband and kids disagree though. I will add a little Tabasco sauce to spice it up a bit. The consistency and taste is far better compared to other "no sugar" ketchups or even the homemade version.
This is a special purchase not via Amazon. We don't cook with teriyaki very often, but I do know it is a favorite for others so I wanted to include it. It is very delicious!
Because let's be honest, what is life without chocolate??
There are other brands of sugar free syrup available at the grocery store, however this is our family's favorite and the kids ask for!
G Hughes does it again. There are several varieties of BBQ Sauces and we have only ever tried the original and mesquite. Both are delicious, like too-good-to-be-sugar-free delicious
Buffalo Sauce isn't too difficult to find sugar free, however we have found Sweet Baby Ray's is our favorite out of the bottle buffalo sauce. It is thick and creamy and has a nice buffalo flavor that isn't too over the top.
The dips and sauces listed below are all homemade. These are recipes I have pulled off of Pinterest and tried multiple times and swear by them. I highly recommend making the Ranch dressing in bulk especially if you like eating salads often. Here is the link to my Family Friendly Keto Recipes Pinterest board if you are interested in trying other low carb, sugar free recipes that our family loves!
Ranch is kinda a staple in our house and pretty much every single house of a Southern woman. I would prefer making ranch than buying it in a bottle. There are a ton of good ranch dressing recipes out there, but this receipe right now is my go to.
This is my daughter's favorite! You may be asking yourself "Miranda, why do I need Alfredo sauce if I can't eat pasta?" You can spoon this over a chicken breast and top with bacon and scallions of you can order this amazing Palmini linguine made with hearts of palm. It resembles the taste and texture of real pasta but without the added carbs!
If I had to choose once sauce to use for the rest of my life it would be this one! It is so flavorful and incredibly delicious!
You get a two for one in this link! Creamy cauli-mash and a delicious rich southern gravy! Add some sausage and extra pepper to get that perfect sausage peppercorn gravy sans the flour!!!
These are all my favorites, but I'd love to hear if you have a favorite sugar free sauce!! Let me know!
