Prior to this year I had never worn a one piece swimsuit. Period. Ever.
Saying that now sound kind of silly, but the truth is, I've never really found a one-piece swimsuit that I like and I've never thought my body looks best in them. But this year was a bit different for me.

My body drastically changed after my third pregnancy and delivery. My hips spread even wider than they already were and my first c-section didn't really leave my tummy in the best shape. I'm not ashamed of any of it, but I certainly didn't feel my most confident sporting my usual two-piece. I tried the high waisted trend and it just wasn't made for my body type, or should I say butt type, so one-piece swimsuits were really all that was left.
A big concept in today's thinking is if you don't "show off" your body you aren't proud of it. I personally feel that you must dress to where you feel your most comfortable! If you are comfortable in what you wear, you will feel 100 times more confident in your body than if you are dressed in something simply to prove a point to other people.
Considering my two reasons, I knew I still wanted something that fit my personal style and I found it in this rust colored one piece swim suit from Target. I loved that is still offered style in order to fit my body type and also not make me feel like I wasn't dressing my age. Have y'all seen the Mom So Hard video on swimsuits?? Oh my word! Go watch and then come back here to shop!!
When you become a mom swimsuits really become more about functionality than anything else. I mean yes, you still want to be (and feel) cute, but "things" falling out while you are trying to chase kids around kinda take away from the cuteness anyways!
If you are in my same boat and are looking to remain fashionable while still being comfortable at the pool or beach with your children this summer, I've found a few others for you to choose from!!
This is the suit in the above photos! I purchased a medium. I'm a 36B up top and have a larger rear end than I'd like to admit. It however fit me perfect throughout without being too cheeky. I love the front detail and the strappy back. It's a comfortable suit that allows me chase my toddler around, but still feel makes me feel happy to wear! That's a win win in my book!
Think you can find your own "mom style" sporting one of these super cute one-piece swimsuits??
