Camo is the New Black

I had been planning on a quick photo shoot with Hollis all week when Hurricane Cindy decided to roll in and tried to rain on my parade.

As much as I would like my life to revolve around my Insta feed and blog, I have three little lives that expect a little more from me. Most weeks I have to overplan for photos, so I'm not over exaggerating when I say I was super mad at the rain. Knowing I couldn't take Hollis out in the weather, I hurried to find a new outfit and mustered up enough creatively to think of a new spot to hurry to before I was completely blown off the map.

My sweet husband though! My ever present good mood (except for when he isn't eating carbs), said "what about taking some pics in the rain." THAT'S why I married you, Babe! I don't know, maybe he just wanted to see me in a wet tshirt....whatever though, I was stoked that he knew it meant enough to me and wanted to still make it great.

It didn't last long before the umbrella was completely being blown out of my hand and we were afraid of damaging the camera. Overall, I was still pleasantly surprised with the way the pics turned out on the fly! I may start to go with the flow a little more!

As I post more about fashion you'll see I'm very basic. I like trendy, but classic pieces. I like simple tees and tanks and comfortable pants. No joke, when I shop I think "how many times will I wear this and how many outfits can I make out of it?" Plus these days if I can't chase a baby around it in, it's not gonna work!

I'll be perfectly honest here....these are the very first pair of camo pants I've owned. Kinda hard to believe since I'm a true blue southern girl. Camo, up until recently, wasn't fashionable to me. I saw it as a necessity when you go hunting and I've never known one single fashionable hunter. Even when I saw others starting to bring in the trend I still shied away because well...hunters, but admittedly the style was growing on me. A few months back I walked into a new store at our local mall called Evereve. I circled the store a few times and spotted a few styles I liked, but nothing screamed at me. I was about to leave, when I turned the corner and spotted a section that should have been labeled "FOR YOU MIRANDA." I left with 4 pieces from that one section and plenty others calling my name. These pants were one of those pieces and they are the most comfortable pair of pants I own. They have a little stretch to them so you can size down like I did. I'm wearing a simple blank tank here but I've also worn these with an off should striped bodysuit and an oversized one shoulder sweater as well as with loose fitted tees. I'm serious ya'll these pants are so versatile and you will get your wear out of them. My pink sneaks you've seen before and I'm sure you'll see again are from H&M.
